ROOTED IN THE
BEAUJOLAIS AREA
The Domaine Fond Moiroux's history goes back more than two centuries.
It was founded by the Blanc family in Cogny, in the heart of the lovely Pierres Dorées region, in the middle of the 18th century .
Its name comes from a fountain (Fond or Font in French) that still supplies a wash house. It is this heritage steeped in history that we acquired in 2019.
Beyond the beauty of the place and the quality of the terroirs,
we were carried away by the richness of this history, deeply rooted in the Beaujolais area.
This Domaine offers us the opportunity of realizing an old dream. Our ambition is to make the Domaine Fond Moiroux the ambassador of Beaujolais and Pierres Dorées wines.
Both passionate about vines and wine, we long to put the very essence of the terroir into our bottles, with all its power and delicacy. That is why we ensure that our wine-growing and wine-making practices are respectful of biodiversity and showcase this sublime terroir, through the wines we produce.

We are both agricultural scientists; after very busy careers, we wanted to put down roots in the countryside and set ourselves the appealing yet demanding challenge of taking over a vineyard.
We assessed many wine-growing regions and vineyards before taking the plunge. We finally chose the Beaujolais, which in our view is a wine-growing area both with a bright future and one steeped in history.
The magnificent Domaine Fond Moiroux on the Pierres Dorées hills instantly charmed us. It has everything we were looking for: a vineyard with rich and varied parcels, stones steeped in history and an environmental philosophy matching our own convictions.
